TURBOCAM specialises in 5-Axis machining of complex components for the Aerospace, Automotive and Power-Generation industries. Typical products include Impellers, Turbine Blades, Nozzles and Vanes.

The "CAM" in TURBOCAM stands for "Computer Aided Manufacturing". CAMplete Solutions Inc. is TURBOCAM's software arm. TURBOCAM is the only manufacturer to produce CAM software. CAMplete is the only software company with fifty-seven CNC machines.

TURBOCHARGERS

Five-axis machining is now a familiar technology for turbocharger compressors, with wheels for locomotive and marine engines being produced in Poland and China. The TURBOCAM advantage is in the more efficient designs of the 1990s, with high pressure ratios, careful attention to alloys and their heat treatment and grain structure, and nozzle rings machined from solid forgings.

TURBOCAM has partnered with Holset Turbochargers to bring highly efficient compressor designs to truck engines. Instead of compromising its optimal designs because of manufacturing constraints, Holset was able to take them to market as a result of efficient manufacturing by TURBOCAM Automated Production Systems.

POWER GENERATION

Gas Turbines ~
TURBOCAM is the impeller supplier of choice of five producers of high-speed microturbines for power generation. In some cases, TURBOCAM is involved in the production of the super-alloy turbine impeller, inertia-welding of shafts, and other gas path components.

~ Steam Turbines ~

TURBOCAM has many products to offer in this industry, and has partnered with companies to bring replacement parts into the field in record times.

In addition to making traditional steam turbine nozzles and rotors, TURBOCAM technology offers the following improvements:

Rotors can be made as blisks with sculptured surfaces, working at high speeds and yielding higher stage efficiency.

Nozzles may be made from single pieces of metal, with smooth and accurate axisymmetric flow paths.
