Profile

Are you aware that Age Concern Hayling Island runs luncheon clubs at their Sunnyside Hall in Webb Lane? These clubs are open to residents of Hayling Island who are over 60, well enough to attend without a carer and who would enjoy the company of others in an informal setting.

The Monday Drop-In is a members’ social club open from 9.30am until approximately 12.30pm. We offer coffee, tea or orange juice and biscuits on arrival, followed by a light snack at a nominal rate from 11.30am comprising soup of the day, various sandwiches or toasties and ploughmans all prepared in a professional kitchen by volunteers. Mini-bus transport by voluntary drivers is available if required at a cost of £1 per passenger per return journey. You will find a dining room plus two very comfortable lounges with armchairs and individual tables. There are also Tuesday and Thursday luncheon clubs. There is currently availability, by arrangement, in the Tuesday club although the Thursday club is currently full. A hot two-course meal is provided at these clubs at a cost of £3. Please note that all helpers are volunteers.

The hall is available to clubs and societies for hire for a very reasonable £7 per hour. We offer use of facilities for refreshments but not the use of kitchen equipment such as the oven. All we ask is that you respect the facilities provided and leave the hall as you would wish to find it.

For further information, in the first instance, please contact us at the hall on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday morning.
